Week 9

This week's highest scorer was Ben Roethlisburger (Free Agent, now on Stormin' Norman)

Congrats to I will OHM You for taking asskicker of the week in the Battle for the Pez. Enjoy the couch buddy!

We also have a new Title Belt holder, congrats Qkuantaqwuallis HaikuGangstaBoo!

Well so much for clarity. We now have a tie for first and second place. Jimmy Da Graham and VD and the Carriers split the top spot while OHM You and Gangsta share second. For those curious, Da Graham retains the top spot despite VD having scored more points because Da Graham won the head to head matchup  week 1. Since we take the top 6 teams the field is still wide open and as proved last year any team can win it, you just have to get to the dance.

Reasons to Watch

Punt Intended  (12) vs. Jimmy Da Graham  (1) –  Both teams took a loss last week and will look to right the ship. Da Graham has been looking less than invincible these last few weeks and the loss of Jordy Nelson wont help. Meanwhile, Punt Intended has finally put it together these last few weeks and the addition of Dwayne Allen should only further solidify her team. Da Graham kicks it off tonight and Punt Intended will bring it home on Monday night.
Cecil Skorts (11) vs.Dickey Doo and the Click Clack (7) – After winning the Pierre Joseph Bowl last week Dickey Doo looks to keep it rolling against the reeling Cecil Skorts. Running backs have been the achilles heel of Skort's team this year but she hopes to have struck gold in Bobby Rainey. Dickey Doo has RB issues of his own but has solidified his lineup via trade, bringing in firecracker Branden Oliver. Both teams are invested in tonight's game and Skorts will bring it home Monday night.
Apache Junction Dysfunction (10) vs. Brown-Out Drunk (5) – After toppling our first place team last week Dysfunction is riding high and looking for another victory against Brown-Out Drunk. Brown-Out is still suffering from Running Back-itis, having to trot out world-beater Tre Mason this week. ESPN gives Dysfunction the edge but we will have to wait until Sunday night to find out for sure.
Ricard, Play Hard (9) vs.I Will OHM You (7)– Ricard and OHM You both had wins last week but it may be tough for Ricard to repeat against the steamrolling OHM You. Both teams have bye week troubles to deal with which does make this matchup a bit more intriguing. OHM You and his Giants will get the final word on Monday.
Stormin Norman (8) vs. VD and the Carriers (2) The surprising resurgence of Arian Foster wasn't enough to lead Norman to victory last week but he'll give it another go against our 2nd place team. VD has bye week concerns this week and that could give Norman the edge. VD is heavily invested in the Monday night game so this should be a fun one to watch.
Qkuantaqwuallis HaikuGangstaBoo  (5) vs. Sex Falcon (1)– Title Fight - After a strong start Sex Falcon has been having a rough go and it won't get any easier against Gangsta Boo this week . Although he will get a boost with the Packers and Lions on bye this week. Gangsta Boo is done early this week, watch for him to jump out to an early lead with Falcon bringing it home on Monday.

By request, here is the latest SOS chart. You can see that through week 8 Phil and Matt have faced the teams with the most wins while Dan, Anthony and Nathan have faced teams with the fewest wins. Honestly wins are not although that relevant due to the variation in scoring week to week. The number of points your opponent has scored is a far more relevant metric. In that respect, Phil and Jim have consistently faced high scoring teams while Dan, Anthony and Jon have faced the lower scoring teams.
Moving to the season long projections, Ali will take on the teams with the most wins while Christian will face the teams with the fewest.  As far as points scored by the remaining opponents, Lauren has the hardest road with the teams she is going to face have scored the most points. Dan will face opponents who have scored the fewest points with Ted not far behind.
